A Poem by Kenneth S.

Water pooling,

a flashback to the time
the flood nearly burned
the city to the ground,

snow white abundance
switching physical states
faster than liquid collecting
on a greenhouse floor,

the metal angels or metal insects
that cannot be swatted show the
outer world what the Nile looks
like on a yearly basis,

minus the desert heat of course,

and the population from locals
to the ones arriving from far
and wide gather clay, dirt,
burlap and sand into snake-like
piles along the ancient path,

every so often humankind
realizes that nature can be
partially tamed
