Green Like Jazz

Green Like Jazz

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

the pink menace came
to the school and beat it
into submission with a rod
of ferric oxide and Tom
Sawyer whitewash

at the same time,
the invasive reptilian
scumsucker controls the
hero's being from afar

the death-minded spray
green s**t at innocence,
at the ones who had
chosen the path of light

light and dark engaged
in eternal conflict

good versus evil and
all that stuff

green like jazz
if jazz could be
expelled from an
evil wizard's wand

but the story is the
old jazz standard,
the sacrificing hero
brought up in s****y
conditions to temper
him for future events
because some lucky
few have greatness
thrust upon them

the chosen one,
the targeted one,
the one that makes
the famous shelf
and so the search
for seven pieces of
human soul starts

and the legend lives on
