I Am Nerd

A work of free verse about my very nature.

I discovered something,

a simple truth nobody

normal will ever care about

 

I discovered that the

double angle identity for

the tangent of any angle

is the product of the

harmonic mean of the

numerator and denominator

of the tangent ratio multiplied

by the reciprocal of the

difference of the denominator

and numerator of the tangent

ratio, in that order

 

And I spent one hour

on Wikipedia adding that

simple truth to an article

that no normal person

will ever read

 

I guess I'm as nerdy

as the guy described

in that one top ten song

 

The truth will probably

stay there forever as a

minor footnote in a weird

repository of wisdom in the

collective human conscience

 

I am nerd, here me squeak!

Math is also a language. All things are numbers in the end. I envy people who can see numbers for what they are. I like the logic of this poem. Using your brain and seeing the words with open eyes mean you have wisdom. A excellent poem.
