The first time I saw Mike Love he blew me away, this time he stands alone, his healing Energy stands Alone, the Beauty of our Mothers voice is in His.

There is so much Corruption

So much Deceit

There is so much Confusion

We're lost in Illusion

There is so much Destruction

So much Greed

There is so much Induction

So much Need

It would be so Easy

For us to all give Up

But last night a man told Me

That it all depends on Love 

How do they get away with It

Taking our Hearts, one at a Time 

All these pieces, they will never Fit

Doesn't anyone else see the Crime

There is so much Corruption

So much Deceit

There is so much Confusion

Going on so many Years

Will we stand before it's Gone

An no longer Live from our Fears

It would be so Easy

For us to all give Up

That we've got to Rise Above

Before we go Insane

So many Mothers Crying

The Corporation wants to own Them

They'll never stop their Lying

We all gotta learn to Free It

They have not told us, we already Won

Well if you don't believe It

Then how's your Dream ever going to Come 

So take back the Power

Take back the Knowledge

See the Beauty of the Flower

The voices so much Beauty and Charm

I hung on every word that he had to Say

His Music is my favorite Prescription

I have seen the Beach Boys in concert several times....many years ago. What a wonderful poem they inspired here. I liked the repetition of the same verse...made it seem like lyrics to a song the Beach Boys might sing. Good rhythm and rhyme. Nice message. Lydi**

That you for the lovely Review - I love it when they are found Riding a Harmony / Melody like this one was, lots of times I'm listening to Trevor Hall, Nahko Bear, or Mike Love and write to their Rhythm. Sometimes the Energy of someone else will write it, where I'm just with them and it comes through me, melody and verse. Magical. If I read a few more poems of yours I could probably write a poem in your energy - I'd probably need to get close to you to sing your song for you, where your energy is writing it. On that song by Mike Love all three of my favorites are on that together - they are all friends - Music is My Medicine.

I always tend to find repetition dull, however here it lends to the feeling of inspiration you received and the almost song like quality to the flow, well done, good read.
