Two Lovers

We started out as friends, who wanted to be desired, to be appreciated,

To be loved deeply, to feel cherished, and feel safe - but above all we wanted to be found,

So, you found me, a man wandering alone, and I discovered you, an angel who was lonely,

Our time together was never a disappointment and the madness of you grew inside of me.

We are a separate entity, but together we have a union like no other foundation,

We are more alike, more similar than different and that simplicity lives, resides in our souls,

Our road has been a different story, a never ending one, a path connected by our destiny,

We have fought distance, our own demons, our broken pasts - still we love one another.

Redemption from ghosts, torn and tattered dreams, self-doubts, and has given guidance,

Shown that life without you would be meaningless and that we can survive our invisible scars,

To rise above the challenges, the battles, we will encounter upon our journey in our promise of love,

Taught me that we are not temporary, and our two hearts are connected, are joined for eternity.

If I could live my life over again - I would find you sooner, I would love you longer,

Show you unconditionally that you are my existence, and the three words that I live and breathe,

I would show we are meant to be - I am meant to be yours and you are meant to be mine,

Let us collapse into one another and come together as one woman, one man - two lovers....

Amazing words- oh they hit deep- ‘I would find you sooner- how beautiful and wouldn’t that be so wonderful to have been able to have found that special person sooner- but then would it have been the same? Everything has its place and time under the sun- but yes the depth of the loving and unity of one-my biggest wish would have come true if this was my life as well- just wonderful- love it much🌹
