pretty little poem

I am lost

Over the hill

Gone

Into another reality

Forgetting my life as it was

Wondering what life would have been

Without the war

But no

I’ve been sucked up into this

With Demetrius by my side

And Michel next to me

Lucifer behind me, whispering in my ear

The words stick

Until I speak to them again

Never letting down my guard

Never letting myself get exposed

Evil follows me

The cold so powerful

Yet so warm

I can help

I love to help

But all I do

Everyone sees as a threat

I know I can be more

But I just take orders

And smile back kindly

As I was taught

If only someone loved me

For whom I am

Not for whom I pretend to be

For now I can just wait

Smile and wait

Pray and wait

Frozen in my own hell

that is really fantastic work
i like the way it was written
i hate wars, it is really strange that when you ask anyone about wars, they tell you they hate them and dont like to ever hear about them but at the same time, wars never stop! crazy people, crazy poloiticians! i think if any politician was to share in a war, he would never try to make one!

I love this poem! I feel like I have read this in the collection you showed me. --) It's a powerful piece. My personal favorite part is the lines "Evil follows me/The cold so powerful/Yet so warm"
I love the last few lines as well " For now I can just wait/ Smile and wait/Pray and wait." So powerful.
