Desperation

Desperation

A Poem by Joseph LaBarge
"

a poem about desperation

"

I reach out

Wanting to let go of everything

No longer caring what is real

Simply seeking something different

My friend tells me I am better than this

Worth more ,

Somehow ,

Than all  I seek

The punishment of knowing

But for the life of me

I cannot see it
