So Faded

So Faded

A Poem by Ms. Twitch
"

Inspired by this moment

"
holding on for something left when the last time
we opened our hearts and let down walls that were built to last
crumbling at the sight and touch of the ones who did the worst
knowing the pain is felt not by one but all who love hard
when we take a chance and feel the hand
without the touch of our skins guiding us to leap into faith
may we one day dare to slip into something as real as our flaws
to tangle up and get lost in the chemicals twisting two into one
may the fear not steal you away from such moments
may it not guide you to lose yourself in your thoughts to what ifs
and scenarios that can never be repeated except as memories if we choose

the hardest part is realizing we are not alone in that moment.

A nice write.

I am not really a fan of free verse, but your message and emotion in this poem is universal and one which many people would be able to identify with.
There is no greater pain than that of lost love. It lingers forever; in the heart, in the mind, and always in the memories. Despite the pain, one must always forge ahead and be open to love. For to love and be loved is to live. The world is full of the broken hearted, so we are never alone in our pain. All we must do is piece together the shards of our broken hearts and try, try again. Else we will wilt, and fade away.......

Nicely written.
