ColdA Poem by Ann Elise MonteI have to write a few songs for music class, and this is one I just finished. It's kind of rough. There's a chill in the air. The wind whips through my hair As I stand alone Thinking of your smile.
I always wanted to be your friend And I'll be there 'till the end, But only I know I want so much more than that.
But without you I feel so cold, Full of loneliness that's so old. When you're gone, I turn to ice. I'll keep my secret, But my heart's the price.
Without me, I know you're fine But you're always on my mind. I wish you didn't have your girl, But I won't ruin what you have.
Like a glacier in the sun I melt when we're having fun. You chase the cold away With just one laugh.
But without you I feel so cold, Full of loneliness that's so old. When you're gone, I turn to ice. I'll keep my secret But my heart's the price.
And now I'm still here, Pushing away my fear. Because even though I love you, I don't belong in your summer world.
But without you I feel so cold, Full of loneliness that's so old. When you're gone, I turn to ice. I'll keep my secret But my heart's the price.
But without you I feel so cold, Full of loneliness that's so old. When you're gone, I turn to ice. I'll keep my secret But my heart's the price.
