neutral colors

"

Everything’s fine it just looks messy, cause everything’s fake but it looks appetizing.

Another notch left bruised knees purple.

A distress signal cut off by the same hand left unfed.

We starve the horse of any prize but keep it running till it’s dead.

Another notch left weathered skin beaten red.

And I’m hiding in gods blind spot.

No one looks for you when you left nothing to look for.

Presence left rendering the obvious.

The always open argument of how we think we should feel and how we really feel.

Everything’s calm it’s just hidden by mania.

I wanna be as happy as you all look when you’re lying about how happy you are.

Another smile stapled up for reassurance.

Piano keys dragged dull by aged hands.

How beautiful it is to feel okay when the closest thing to feeling okay is one note.

Another song played out too long, layers mashed in webs of harmonies only heard with eyes closed.

"

I’m hiding somewhere grey.

Shadowed by words like careful.

Everything is neutral but it looks spectacular.

Like her skin glistened by the moon.

Another rain cloud soaking a red dress shaking like a serpents tail.

Dancing to the tune of temptation.

All the sorrowed men brave in the light of lust.

Another spine spun crooked for a taste of the poison leaking from her lips.

She swallows swords like he talks

smooth.

Listening to the chatter of broken souls, muttered truths strung to strangers spinning in bar stools.

Look at the wing span of the man wearing black.

A spectrum fluctuated by the weight of careless painting.

Fingertips dipped wet by the touch of curiosity.

We pick our favorite colors until we are only left with white.

Another smudge rubbed into a faded blur.

Dressed in veils until everyone thinks everything is fine.

Everything is just the way it should be.
