A short poem.

 

You're no sheik, honey.

I have to say it's true.

Just like I'm no beauty,

you're no tall-dark-handsome view.

 

When was the first time we met?

At the theatre? Were you there?

I suppose I just didn't pay attention.

That other man was there.

 

I don't remember love at first sight.

I don't remember you taking my coat.

So what made you my Casanova?

Gosh, I don't even remember falling in love!

 

   I'll tell you darling, you're no sheik.

   But oh, love, I can't explain

   what you did that made me melt

   right underneath your feet.

 

   I tell the truth, you know I do,

   And believe when I tell you this:

   You're better than that Romeo,

   better than a sheik.
