My Valentine

I look across the table over at you,

Our eyes connect and just for a short moment.

Somehow we both knew,

Our lives intertwined to every extent.

We baked and baked and listened to some tunes,

Each word you said I took note painstakingly.

Daydreamed in afternoons,

Inside and out we know each other really.

And today is a huge day with some flowers,

Chocolates, and more but I do not want sweets.

Kisses I'd rather shower,

Valentine's Day with you is more than just treats.
