Goodnight

Goodnight

A Poem by Gracynn

Beside her, he snores faintly,

The soft sound lulls her senses.

But she gets up carefully,

The creaky floor makes her body tense.

Padding to the living room,

She pulls back the curtains revealing,

Streams of light from stars and moon.

She soaks in power of its healing.

The day eats away at her soul,

With deadlines and other stress.

Its endearing gaze takes toll,

Before she even gets dressed.

Sounds like you deal with a lot of stresses and strains in daily life. And the only time you feel at peace. is like most people are at night in bed. When you feel peaceful and still with the accompaniment of the stars and moon outside. You will have to learn some relaxation techniques and to say no to people and allocate priorities in doing things in order of importance and also find time for you alone during the day for YOU TIME too. To deal with all the woes. Better.

Sometimes we forget our yesterday's dream in our today's realities. A lot of stress out here - day-to-day. And the coping, our dealing - with even the little things can leave one raggedly frayed. You spoke well within this one.

Very lovely poem. It had a good meaning and it flowed nicely too!
