"Mushroom Clouds in Magic Land" IN COLLABORATION WITH FRIEDA

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

i am missing Ms. Frieda and decided to re-post this poem which we did together .. i am so angry how one very nasty person was able to drive her from the Cafe :(

"
Mushroom Clouds in Magic Land

Tapped upon a mushroom cap's fancy,
to see if the rabbit hole was rumor
curiouser and curiouser
     about the unimaginable avenue,

She opens my mind and
fear grips my colors
from the hinterland .....                   tremors
wink
           and blink
                              and nod

As I sat upon my newfangled gumption
   common sense took a recess,
spoke in rhyme to the tune of absurd
     to my surprise, the scaramouch
                 of a head talked back

my birthing in darkness
          musk and dank scent
knocks        my shroom
head explodes
            collide's scope intense

in his elegant persuasion,
made a date for half past daft
took me on a dip of a mystical carpet trip
alas,  we've lived happily ever after
upon a prime floating island in a cloud

clouds of words
spilling like rough gouged stones in
tumbler's majestic insane
forever now i

re-pronounce her name

beginning and

end... ;)

What a superb collaboration from you and dear, dear Frieda = yours are minds that walk the same space.. perhaps!

There's so much in this piece, the colour and highlights take the reader into a world of bewilderingly spaced.out somewhere. The phrasing you've used is another language, a magic not to be translated - and who would want to do that...all of us!

Lewis Carrol would undoubtedly want to join the two of you in another collab, happily sharing his enlightenment via any means - even holding the breath and flying off and away with the daisies. . Brava and brava again.. Loved this. Great musical accompaniment, by the way... ..

Loved this whimsical take. A bit of Carroll, a hint of Groucho and the right amount of Ms. Frieda and the Noodle. Lovely bit of writing, EN

when two great poets put their heads together, a mushroom cloud is bound to erupt. does that make sense? in any case this is a wonderful collaboration E with a lovely person who, needless to say, is sorely missed by all those who've known her.

To begin with. The collaboration with Frieda is fantastic. Sorry to read she left because some moron made her life miserable. Should work the other way round. Hope whatever site she's moved to, you're still writing with her.

This is one I've missed over the months of being off line. Beautiful, it reminds me of stories when I was a child. Some of those stories were created in movies. Images of a child dreaming is created by your collaboration.

I miss Frieda also and I too find my anger rising when I think. Having said that at least I can say there is this. That is a statement that sounds so woefully inadequate. Of course the poem follows a tradition in more ways than one but it is the deviations from the already (surreal?) path that interest me and bring nods and smiles to my face.
The linking with Carroll give a pathway (or a rabbit hole) in but then we fly alongside to reach other places, concepts and words that sparkle like diamonds on velvet. A lovely, lovely piece.

Hate that she left and hope she will be back. As for the collaboration, this was outstanding. Magical lands can be fanciful, full of curiosity and coloring. Imaginations run wild and infatuations run amok. Clouds do come and go and then clarity sets in to a brighter day. Re-pronouncing names can also bring back memories of those events and persons....:)...................
