Moon Shots

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

Moon Shots

Did I hear howling on the midnight breeze
your refrains harmonize with spirits almighty
a lithe arabesque backlit naked ebony trees
when Granny Moon donned her ruby nightie

swoops to the earth kissing grey tree tops
spotlight of moon shards chasing their shadows
she gracefully crosses the street east to west .................... then stops.
Waiting to fill love's hearts bleeding fallow

A fond caress harvested from fingertips
your touch gliding beside her nightly glow
kinship undimmed by a fleeting eclipse
before her ocean plunge she lets it go.

too soon is gone the glorious sight
as mountain and tree tops reach up to hide
the fairest of moon's rare earthly delight
super and blue and blood together abide

now i in repose and she without nightie
slip down deep sleep as daybreak begins
tucking earthen warm leaves round each tightly
kissing and kissing the cheeks of her grins.

This is a great collab. I knew she was in there without the note. Nature. A marvelous thing. This poem, a lovely ode to the rare event, that from here anyway, could not really be seen ...

Dear Gene and Margie,
What a wondrously beautiful, sensually captivating cowrite you've embraced us with.
In a flow smooth as silk, a rhyme-scheme sublime, you've awakened our senses with sweet poetic voices undetectable which is whom's, each verse blending ever-so seamlessly.
I love the combined mood, moment, and metaphorical imagery set by two masters at the pinnacle of their craft … I hope you'll cowrite many more for us.

Thank you for gifting us such a charming melody for our hearts and imaginations to dance to … brightest blessings! ⁓ Richard : )

Beautiful I can just see how the moon slowly moving to give way for the dawn- he loved the sun he died for her every night so she could shine- beauty of nature and allowing all things to have their place in time - can see the illumination all around as the moon lights up the night and awakens the sleepless souls - only to leave us breathless longing for more- wonderful words 🌹
