Curse Ye Thin Mints

Curse Ye Thin Mints

A Poem by kelly
"

this is a poem written straight from the heart

"

Curse ye Thin Mints

sitting inside the box,

cunningly causing me to crave you

so sly like a fox

Curse ye Thin Mints

making me want you more

with your one hundred and sixty calories

only just for four

Curse ye Thin Mints

its almost just too sad

how your marvelous menacing mint

is making me go mad

Curse ye Thin Mints

and your little girl scouts too!

Their small and sweet sincere smiles

selling the sarrow that is you

Curse ye Thin Mints

you always seem to win

and with your crazy crumbly cocoa tase

I guess I'll just give in

This makes me laugh everytime I read it! Good job, dude! I love the rhyming, too. It's natural, not forced. My favorite is the 4th stanza. :D

LOL That picture perfectly compliments this piece. This would actually make great advertising for your local troop :o) well done! Minor editing thoughts though- 3rd stanza "to" instead of "too", 4th stanza "sarrow" instead of "sorrow"

This is really fabulous Kelly. So creative! It's a little hard for me to write comical poetry, and this is truly enviable. Another great write!
