Fear

Fear

A Poem by KristiLee

The deep blue surrounds me.
The monster's arms pull me in.
I try to take a breath,
But my world is growing dim.

He suffocates me quietly,
Not giving any slack.
I open my mouth to scream,
But the screams are all pushed back.

The dark liquid filled my lungs
And my life was quickly fleeting.
I finally faced my fear,
But I was taking quite a beating.

'You'll feel fulfilled',
'The fear can't win',
But these words mean nothing
When the waters pulling you in...
