Perfect Predator

Perfect Predator

A Poem by Guardian
"

This poem has been flying around in my mind as a very vague idea for a couple weeks now. I finally managed to grasp it and develop it. Now to attend to the thousands of others! ^_^

"

Death, the eternal stalker.

It waits like a predator,

for the weak, for the old.

Death, the eternal nightmare.

Its teeth bared and fangs dripping,

acid consuming all that it touches.

Death, the eternal tormenter.

Its victims scream in agony,

crying for mercy that will never come.

Death, the eternal devil.

It dances on the graves of its meals,

roaring to the sky and gnashing its teeth.

Death, the eternal torturer.

It delights in pain and agony,

tearing into its victim’s hearts with bloody claws.

Death, the eternal wraith.

It thirsts for blood and bone,

deforming its prey, body and mind.

Death, the eternal shadow.

It strikes without warning,

swiftly shattering the unsuspecting soul.

Death, the eternal destroyer.

It devourers the souls of its prey,

throwing them into the abysmal pit.

Death, the eternal crippler.

Its jaws shred through happiness,

clamping down on the hearts of mourners.

Death, the eternal conqueror.

It vanquishes man,

changing them into sobbing children.

Death, the eternal victor.

It captures every soul in the end,

doing with them what it will.

Death.

Formidable.

The Perfect Predator.

It hungers for your fear.

Will you feed it?

Oh my gosh... That's amazing. I loved the different aspects you gave to Death, and I could actually see a different sort of 'face' for each one. Lots of black and red in it, very creepy. I loved the flow of it, even thought there wasn't a definite rhyme scheme or meter.

You do realize that everyone who reads this probably ends up 'feeding' the predator, right? ; )

An eloquent, intense examination of many aspects of death. Good structure, description, action, and flow, really drew me in, but it may need a hopeful note at some point (JMO). Good job!

I found this to be a very powerful and well penned write, can make one afraid to die unless they know true salvation. Well done...gets no criticism from me as I find it perfest just the way it is. PW

Yes it does face us at many different times of our life

This is a very good description of death, and something that we all have to face. Nice write. Also thanks for the kind review of ( Who Are You) your comments and friendship are always welcome.

Your poem is great! I accidentally deleted my review, but it was very good I assure you. I just love the characterization of death in this. The visceral image I'm getting is surely the work of excellent characterization and if I can't get to sleep tonight, I'll know who to blame!
