Kripto-sex-niteA Story by Guys and Other Drugs
When you asked me if I did drugs I lied, I do you.
We convince ourselves that what we have is just physical . A dance of two naked bodies where our pasts never happened and there might not be a tomorrow. And then we talked, we hear things that make us blush and we start to wonder. We play cool as log as possible, we deny our feelings no matter what. We wonder if are those butterflies in our stomach or just the burrito we had for inch kicking in. When it's too late, you find yourself checking for phone for missed calls knowing that calling him might tagged you as pushy and it might be the end of whatever you two have.
For those who've been in this situation, is not uncommon to find themselves with a hint of a smile upon their faces. 'The sex was so good!' the say, as they bite their tongues at the impulse of saying something more, the know feeling anything else was forbidden. And either we like it or not, we were never sure if we loved the game or the player. Yeah, I'm gonna star using the 'we' instead of the 'they', gotta man up, right? Outcomes are as many as stars in the sky and as we analyze he situation, we do our best not to lose in the game. Sometimes the rules were put on the table, some other times they stayed unspoken leaving us in the dark. Whoever said ignorance is a bliss should get his a*s kicked so bad... What do we do? Do we wait for the other player to make a move or do we come clean risking it all? Where is the fuckbuddies for dummies when we need it the most? How in control are we of the situation? Do we do everything he says? Does he do what you say? The other night he said 'I missed you', I said 'be careful, I might believe you', not because I was playing cool, it was because I meant it.
Do we keep seeing him waiting for that night when he'll say he's got feelings for you? Or do we just add new rules to the game in an attempt to protect ourselves? And then we stopped. We notice that we've been overanalizing it all. We've been trying to find the real meaning to his words instead of enjoying those damn hit nights (afternoons or mornings as well). It's just a game, and even though th odds aren't in our favor, anything it's possible.
