Twilight

A Poem by Habibah

A million stars that shines tonight

Twinkling 'round the bright full moon

The wind blows a gentle serenade

Of my heart's yearning for you

A story of a tormented soul

In darkness and despair

A broken-hearted melody

Cast upon the cold night air

Slowly as the night grew dim

Sorrow and pain befriended me

We walked along the life’s unending path

With moonbeams as golden canopy

Faith and hope still in my heart

With prayers to guide us through

May tomorrow be brighter than today

And may all our dreams come true
