Chora: Thirteen

Chora: Thirteen

A Poem by Hailey Juliet James
"

March 9

"
so if i stayed
and swayed
to the sound
of a swooning sax
at the jazz club
on ninth

would you swoop
in behind me
and take me
by the waist
by the wrist
as per our tryst

and we could
twirl and twist
and gaze
with eyes glassy
and triste

Beautiful use of words. I vision dance and movement. The simple actions become the sweetest things we hold on to. Thank you dear Hailey for sharing the amazing poetry.
