A Poem by Hailey Juliet

catch the spectre
capture the spirit
spite the sprite
enrapture the light

say we synchopate
our starving lungs
and satiate
our sadistic tongues
anachronistic to this here state
as we stare aghast with mouths agape

agape or agapé
i couldn't say
too distant
too removed
too far away

It took me a while to get your title, but now I'm seeing the dancing green lightwaves! As you've no doubt noticed, I love rhyming, rapping, & riffing as you've done here with a nicely unregimented style (always a treat to escape my own rigid confines). Very nice movement of words dear Hailey. The lines short and sweet. Meaningful and left something for the reader to grasp. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
