Someone close to me died recently, and I never knew how to express it. I will always miss you, I will love you forever and I remember something new all the time xxx

It stabs you in the back,

It hits you in the face,

It blocks up your throat,

When you're least expecting it.

 

It brings back the memories,

When you want them most.

 

It makes you smile through the tears,

When you need it most.

 

It makes me remember all the days,

I spent with you.

All the laughs,

The smiles,

The tears,

The pain.

Very true that one lost can trigger such memories and glad times. Harsher times as well as just little captions we see in our head of them like a photo album of sorts. :)
