The lights of Christmas

The lights of Christmas

A Poem by Hannah Estar
"

a poem about Christmas lights

"

That sparkling, shimmering, radiant glow
Softly illuminates the falling snow
And sends rainbows across the glistening world
Silently telling of the glories unfurled

Those soft and wondrous Christmas lights
Twinkling and glinting throughout the nights
Showing that the time for Christmas cheer
Has finally come at this time of year

The colorful lights sparkle and glimmer
Keeping up hope as the skies grow dimmer
Dazzling children and trimming the earth
Reminding us all of the blessed babe’s birth

They embellish the world with luminous dye
Exclaiming with brilliance that the day is nigh
The day of giving and receiving love
A day for praising our Lord above

The Christmas lights bring us hope
A sturdy lit up climbing rope
To the place in the mind where beauty lies
And the spirit of Christmas never dies

Congratulations, You beat me and rightly so, your poem was superb. Will enjoy reading more of your poetry, I like the way you rhyme and measure it out, it flows.
