The Truth in Love

The Truth in Love

A Poem by Hannahbananas

Lying crumpled like a piece of paper

Carelessly tossed upon the freezing ground

Tears slowly evaporate as vapor

Breaking hearts break without making a sound

Love poems do not always end happily

Shakespeare proved that they hold some despair

Screaming, crying, things ending tragically

Meaningless words are not feeling's repair

Our lives aren't like the ones in story books

Like porcelain dolls, if we fall, we break

Like young Snow White, one bite was all it took

Blind to the fact our reality's fake

We fall in love though we attempt not to

For fate will be fate, with or without you
