Red

Red

A Poem by New Dawn
"

colours of passion

"

I had thought you might be blue

clear, cold calculating blue

or perhaps a warm friendly yellow

keen to kiss and cuddle .

You might have been green

earthy and fresh,

but I never expected red

hot passionate fiery red

when you joined me between

crisp white cotton sheets

and led me through a rainbow

of pleasure,

orange, lilac and green

and an afterglow of buttercup yellow

too exquisite for words
