Shotgun Wedding

A Poem by HB
"

Contest Poem, "Wedding Bananza".

"
Listen up folks,
We're gettin' Hitched!
That's Me 'n Sally,
And our guy friend Mitch.

Maw got the beers,
Pop got the guns.
We're hopin' all ya'll come out
And have yuse some fun!

6 o'clock sharp
Just under the steeple.
Pastor Dan is the man
Gonna marry us people!

I like however found that and it's probable me getting my tongue wrapped around my eye teeth, that I was having difficulty with the flow of the words. The words are great and work, my tongue doesn't do them honor. It could be my approach to the proper way to read this poem. I don't read a lot of poetry, so will endeavor to practice. Please keep writing so I can work on reading and enjoying poetry, many thanks. I hope this wasn't a shot gun wedding :-)
