Mental Health

A Poem by Lonnie

Your mental health doesn't define who you.
Be aware of that because throughout your journey of coping and struggling,
like me,
you will come across too many who
will use it as an excuse to leave you.
As a reason to belittle you .
As a reason to make you feel like you're not enough.
As a reason to make you feel like you're not worthy of anything
good and promising.
It can get to a point you begin to believe them.
Never let anyone make your mental health a justifiable
reason for s****y actions
and half a*s effort.
You are deserving of so much,
if not more,
for battling a war inside you every day.
