Poem 3. Healing the Wounds

Poem 3. Healing the Wounds

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

Recovery needs a great medicine I'm trying to find...

"
This is for a friend...

Tears fall down from my eyes

as I stare at my wounds
like skin decors nobody wants
The glow of the river of tears
invites somebody
not to feast but to mourn.

A sign of sympathy
is to cry with me,
to carry my cross,
to put one's feet on my shoes,
and to hug me like he is getting half of my burdens.

I don't want to end up crying.
I want to help myself.
I need to stand and fight -
against my own fear, my best enemy.

Time has come to end up all of these:
the crazy things I must not believe.

Time has come to a new beginning:
the time to heal my wounds
and start a new day!

The Universe has the great medicine you seek.
Yes, you are so right the key is to stop being the victim.
In order to overcome we have to realize we have to work for ourselves to fight for ourselves that is the only way to recovery.
Fear and doubt are our two greatest enemies and they only need a little crack to slip in.
So yes this is what those who want recovery need to do is not fear and not doubt themselves and ask the universe for help. You will inspire others to overcome and I know you are speaking from experience, I feel in this that you have recovered from something big and are really progressing, great job. Know that you will get help from the universe and everything just keeps getting better from here on - you're sharing and helping others will really accelerate your expansion - your understanding - awareness and love for others.

So true. One should not dwell and live on his pain. He should stand up and rebuild himself. Thank you for this. :)

“I don't want to end up crying. I want to help myself .I need to stand and fight -against my own fear, my best enemy.”

~ the best line I have read to advice yourself and myself as well… I had been on the lose end to many times that I want to bring out the best of myself to move forward. Fight the emotional battles within, I may not win all the time atleast I have learned something out of it… life is never a win, win battles… it’s something about how manage to surpass everything with dignity and freedom… though there are some regrets afterwards but that’s just normal….so staying firm on the positive little outcomes will come along way… so let’s just treat every day a new day because it is… always looking forward for a new day always brings a positive vibe…

~ scars will be forever be a part of us but that doesn’t mean it does not heal…. Scars defines us on how we become stronger through time… because for me : every mistake, choices gone wrong and situational mishaps are a learning process… though scar never fades but the feeling will be lighten and bearable over time until fully healed by someone or something… in the end it will be just a memory to remember by on how we survive and put a smile on our face “ this is me and I survive.”

Thank you for sharing this kabayan…

A sad but a hopeful poem. To heal we need good friends and time. No perfect people. Just people trying to do the right things. I like the hopeful ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
