Poem 16. Counting One to Thirty

Poem 16. Counting One to Thirty

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

A baby who's only three (years old) can count from one to thirty!

"

My baby, oh my baby!

You know how cute you are

You are the morning sunshine

At night, my brightest star.

My baby,  oh my baby!

A gift from heaven’s gate

You showered us with laughter

You made our life so great.

My baby, oh my baby!

Is this the time to show?

Your moment to uncover

The flair as now you grow.

Your sweet voice counting numbers

From one up to thirty

Isn’t that an achievement

For baby who’s just three?

I was expecting to jump into the footprints of a mother watching her child grow from one to thirty, and relating herself to an infant that has only learned such a thing. Meh, not exactly my preference in poetry. While rather intelligent diction you've at your disposal, this just isn't a concept I find myself dabbling in. You have a rather cute child; he oughta grow into a mathematician one day.

A very cute--obviously, capable--child who ought to be able to say, "Thirty-one."
Sweet and loving ode, well-rhymed.
Impressive work, Dhaye!

Thanks, Sir Frank. :)
You're really good at rhyming, no joke. This is very cute. Is this your son? If so then he is equally as cute:) And having an intelligent mother would only make him smarter all the more.
