Poem 44. I DON'T WANT TO REMAIN SILENT

Poem 44. I DON'T WANT TO REMAIN SILENT

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

but how?

"

I don't want to remain silent...
But I don't know how to speak.
I am not yet strong
I am not yet hard
I still need to be molded.

I don't want to remain silent...
But I can't speak up my words.
I can't find my voice
My tongue seems tied
I still need to practice.

I don't want to remain silent...
And I need to speak
Because our future depends
On a fruitful struggle
From me and you.

I don't want to remain silent...
Even if I don't know how to speak
I know I will learn.
Even if I am not yet strong and hard
I know I can because of my inspiration.

I don't want to remain silent...
Even if I can't speak up my words
I know I can write them all.
Even if my tongue seems tied
I know the truth will find a way.

I don't want to remain silent...
I don't want to hide my feelings
I know I can do it with you
And with my paper and ink
You can read what is the truth.

I don't want to remain silent...
Please help me in my struggle.
Speak if you can speak
Write if you can write
For a change we want.

A powerful and amazing poem. I like the want to speak out and be fearless. I like the repetition. Gave strength to the desire of the poem. It is good when we can break from silence and be fearless in thoughts and in speak. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.
