Poem 55. Look What You Have Done

Poem 55. Look What You Have Done

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

to me

"

Look what you've done, my dear...
I'm now a paramour of pain -
A hater of love
An exultant victim
A jaunty loser
An outsider to my own temple.

Look at these hands I've been using for a long time
As my powerful instrument
To press out the deepest emotions
And the dimension of my mind.
They're now but feeble tools
To  grasp what you throw upon me.

These wounds
I love to see them bleeding
Like those brooks overflowing
Which make the most beautiful grin in your face.
My fragile body which is now lying
Waiting for another stone
Or another blade
Coming from you.

Look what you have done to me, my dear...
I am looking ahead.
Waiting
Until

You can't stand
To see me

Dying.

"Waiting for another stone

A sad situation indeed but it happens all the time. People have no love or concern for others and they hurl stones ( insults ) and use blades ( sharp tongues ) to assail others ...Bravo

A amazing poem. The words hard and direct.

No weakness in the outstanding poem. I could feel the struggle and the pain in your words.

Thanks, CP. :)
A powerful piece I have trouble seeing flow from "that smile" of yours, dhaye!
I'm curious but don't want to know where it came from? But as I said, powerful ...and effective!
Thanks for sharing

When I smile, I only think that I can make others smile, too...and that's important for me. Thanks f.. read more

Hence my poem, Smile ;-)
you're welcome
A brutally sad situation expressed so well here. Others do not realize the pain they inflict with nasty words and put downs. This sort of person has no place in your life. Rid yourself of him/her. Lydi**

The above phrases interest me dhaye. it seems to me that, it pertains to writing as we use our hands to write our deepest emotions and from this, it appears that someone truly wants to stop the voice from writing. trip ko lang na wag i-relate sa relationships comment ko, dhaye. hehehe
