Poem 60. How Can I?

My love, I have made a world just for you and me

Decorated our palace and let you see

How it feels to be a lady, a queen for me

And I am your king who loves you eternally.

My queen, I beam in every smile that I see

In your face, I’m contented when they’re free

From any evidence of that sadness and worry

I love you, my queen, my love, my lady.

But now why these eyes of mine seem like rivers?

I never know why suddenly you gave me these tears

My heart is aching like you hit me with spears

I want to give up this life, I dare if someone cares.

Why did you leave me in world of pain and hurt?

I treated you as my queen, but how come you’ve changed your heart?

Is my love not enough, can’t you see you are my life?

How can I breathe without you? How can I live without your love?

My dearest pretty friend, as I read this poem I could feel deep sadness and desperation for who would not feel such emotions when you gave everything to someone else. Which makes me think that although it may seem to sound unromantic ---loving the opposite sex is truly conditional because you are asking someone to love you in return.

Is my love not enough, can’t you see you are my life?---
i remember my lola telling me that love is never enough especially to a hungry stomach—she said that as a way of reminding me to concentrate studying and to discourage me from engaging to “extra-academic” activities. I don’t know yet if that’s true but one thing for sure, I would not want to get hungry (except when I attempt to diet). lol

very emotional write.
