CYCLE (Quatrain)

CYCLE (Quatrain)

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

we move like it

"

Yesterday I'm down then now I'm on top
Like yesterday I cried and now I do laugh
You threw me the stones and I caught them wise
Now you give me candies and you try to be nice.

Yesterday you said I am that impish
For having my own creed, I don't hear any wish
You cut me with sharp blades of your words so stark
So I have to defend with a mask of the dark.

Yes, call me bad and dark, I accept it's true
But show me first your heart and what I mean to you
We both have this masquerade, Damn! I know
Believe another lie and this cycle will go.
