Third Party

Third Party

A Poem by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

Inspired by a movie...

"
Why I always have this feeling when I enter this room
I smell the scent of cologne which is not from yours or mine
How about the color of curtains, it's not my favorite
And there's an extra empty glass beside your glass of wine

I feel like I am no longer welcome when I enter your room
I don't see the smile on your face like what I saw before
The music that you play is no longer my favorite one
Everything I see and feel reminds me that you care no more

Author's Note

Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
This was inspired by a movie about an unusual love triangle ( a man, a gay and a woman).

Wow this was quite sad, how one's love faded for the other... no longer playing MY favorite things but anothers favorite things... heartbreaking indeed. Nicely written.

Thank you so much for taking time to read this poem
Yes indeed three's a crowd, time to move on !

An emotive, subjective poetic innuendo!

people never tell you the truth, how they really feel. I've been in this scene as well. great write, the emotion spills out, silently it does.

When a woman starts picking up on those clues, well, it is time to leave the triangle. It's great that you were inspired by a movie, Dh....I enjoyed this one. Lydi**

Thank you, Lydia
So often when we split with the one we love we see them in a different light and wondering if we were filled all along or have they changed.
