She's The Earth

For me, she is

I called an old friend as Wind when she turned her back from me
I called the next one as Rain who made me beautiful and free
I called myself as Fire, like the flame inside of me
And my one new friend, the Earth, the humblest girl I see

Each short line stirs so many meaning but the last line stands out because it talks about the foundation of all virtues- humility. In a world where arrogance is somewhat celebrated, and popularity is most sought, I think, being friend with the Earth makes us focus more on life's essentials.
