~ Starting Anew ~

A Poem by heavenscentgirl1
"

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new ending”. ~ Maria Robinson

"
"""-~**~-"""

One year ends ... a new one begins
Keep an open mind and true heart
Remove sad thoughts ~ reveal big grins
Now's the time to make a new start

Let go of hateful thoughts today
One year ends ... a new one begins
Live, love ~ be happy everyday
Let hate go and make amends

Think positive, not for chagrins
Clear your heart and respire anew
One year ends ... a new one begins
Have faith ~ for its all within you

Let this year be the best one yet
Start fresh, let go of past sins
Live your life with no regret
One year ends ... a new one begins

Ah, HG,
What a lovely French Qautern!
There is nothing more inspiring than wiping the slate clean and starting all over … well, for most of us it's a lovely dream, but we all need our dreams, eh?
Nice rhymes, too, and a good flow. A few lines out of count, but are easy fixes.
For best presentation, consider centering and trying a nicer font … perhaps, with color and in italics.
Just sharing teacher thoughts. : )

I've very much enjoyed this one, Mary Jo … thank you for the new year treat! ⁓ Richard 😊

Don't you love how the site takes dashes and turns them into quotation marks(I?) … LOL!
Try using a series of hyphens, thusly:

Always a new beginning after a passing year in life. I like the way you inspired the readers to install the positivity and faith in life. Giving up on old bad memories and thoughts. Nice one!

If we all kept those feelings year round we would be a much happier species.

An inspiring quatern i must say, with every new year, fill it with positivity and determination, not with negativity and sadness, strive to be your best self. Thanks for sharing! Nearly 5 years later :)

What a lovely heavensent poem. I love the positivity that fills each line. The structure with the repeated line is ideal for your theme of a happy new year.
All the best,

Enjoyed your French Quatern poem early this morning here in Spain...
We all wish that everything would run smoothly and that our dreams would all come true.
Dreams are so very important.
Thank you for sharing your poem,
