Like A Lamb

 

I've weighed your pros and cons

  I held them above me like a lamb

 I sifted through your eyes and found the core

The being

The purpose

The hurt and the condemnation

 

If I sacraficed myself

On the alter of your pain

Could I take the life away

Replace it with a new

 

         Tell me lovely one

What was the worth

Of the two nights that we spent

 

          If I could draw like you

       I would wither away and die

 

                          If I could be a con

                         You would hear my sweetest sigh

 

              Unfortunately there is truth

            In every move I make

 

And what you saw was what you got

and now I'll take it all away
