Instinct

Instinct

A Poem by Scott Troy

The way you trace an outline on my back.
A muttering of words.
A concept of brevity and bare feelings.
How I wish.
How I stand on a cusp of disbelief.
Love me.
Miss me.
I look at you and know the reflection of emotion is naught but an iron cast copy.
Seasoned in emotions and strong hearts.
I love you.
Even now I tremble at your mere presence.
The slightest breath.
The first brush stroke on a masterpiece.
Please hold me.
Do not let go.
Sink silently while we wonder why our fingers intertwined feels so good together.

A desire for relationship wrapped up in love and romance. And presented in a poem! Lovely writing.

I think as a rough draft you got the emotion down. I love the singular thoughts that you use to pace this poem. those breaks in structure give the poem a pace that pulls at the reader. You did a outstanding job with this piece. It was very good.

such romantic words, i like the last two lines, the agony of waiting and missing the person touches the heart.
