Narcissus

Narcissus

A Poem by Daniele

Repeat what I've heard all my life.
I know. I'm refined and admired.
Bewitched by reflections that I have created and
charmed by what I have inspired.

He whispers all that I have said.
A suitor. Do you not know scorn?
Then this, take my sword, and know of my boredom with
true love's monotonous form.

Entranced, awakened, seduced.
For set deep in crystal clear blue.
Appears in such marvel a face so entrancing, to kiss it
is all I can do.

Jealous gods have condemned me to this.
For I am more worshiped than they.
An angelic mortal aware of my beauty and drowned in my narcissist's ways.

A flower, incurvatus in se.

Bravo! But I don't want you getting a big head over it. LOL I like your word usage here and the flow. The fact that you can see within is also a plus. Good work.

I love your poem! It flows really well and your choice of words make it more mystical. I had to read again just to fully understand everything you said. Great job!
