School

School

A Poem by Plagued Monumentally
"

My representation of the first day of school...xD Watch as my imagination takes off! :D

"

Trudging through the swamp,

getting through to the doors of the dungeon,

the monstrous glares from everyone...

and everything.

Looking through the cavernous windows,

of education death roe,

there is no light in the darkness,

just more monsters hovering over me.

The doors swing open,

the hinges creaking in protest,

telling me to get out while I still can,

but I keep walking,

getting to the dungeon of English,

where the master awaits my presence.

Self-indulged thinking inferior masters,

fill the dungeons with their intelligence,

making the clock tick slower,

and slower,

and slower.

Tomorrow is the same,

the same walk of shame,

the same feeling of esteem drainage,

give me some light to drain out my,

monstrous headache.

Wow, this is awesome. I could detect the redundancy of the lines. I can definitely relate: I'm going to a community college, so I don't go to school everyday, but the people are still rude and annoying. I loved this, you captured a lot of people's feelings about school.

Great imagery! School can certainly feel like this. I've had these days before; luckily I'm out of high school now, and college has ben a lot easier on me.

Lol, High school = A twisted torture room
Definitely!
I actually had quite the acute dislike for high school, specially for the American education system too, it's quite S****y to put it in simple terms. Plus my bouts with the Administration and almost legal battle affairs with the local school district really didn't set my mind in favor of the education system either...
Once you turn 17 I'd recommend just dropping out, getting a GED, and college is just optional, cause quite frankly, unless you have a career path that is dead set in need of college degrees, like medical or legal fields, then really college is just a money-wasting social event.
Hope everything gets better for ya, and no worries, long as you keep ya mind in check, you can turn everything out for the best ;)

I hated high school. The classes seemed silly and so did the people. Thankfully college is so better

This is awesome! I really like how you describe school as a place of fantasy and torment.

Wow. I like it how you make something as common and tedious as school, and turn it into a story, an adventure. Dreadful though it seems, this is an accomplished piece

English and History were the only classes I liked in high school. I felt this way about the rest of them though. Especially math. I hated math and french... stupid gargoyle teacher...
