the unfortunate realities of love

the unfortunate realities of love

A Poem by Plagued Monumentally

he's 20 with a broken relationship with his child and so called lover

one night with a whole bunch of opportunities, one of them decided to end up with another lover

a girl who was too blind to see that it would cause her heartbreak

a girl that wanted him so bad that the law didn't stand a chance

a girl that didn't think she would fall in love with him

he's 20 with hormones like a teenager

a teenager that doesn't want a relationship, just fun

a guy that is too blind to see who much she cares about him

and she doesn't even know him

she forgets about him for a couple days

then when she remembers, those are the hardest days

the hardest days are when she feels like she doesn't know who she is

and that the only person who knows is a guy who's 20 and has a broken relationship with his daughter

A sharp and astute observation of the experiences of youth. To heal him you have to persuade him to be his age and to discover life all over again.

At 20 the only thing one should expect in a relationship is PAIN.
be careful when making your decisions.Parents are rarely wrong.

When led by desire and emotion. Mistakes can be made. A powerful poem with a sad story. I like the flow of thoughts and the very good ending. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Too many times kids have broken relationships with their parents. My son hasn't seen his dad since he was six months old. It is better that way. He is a well round boy who is loved by his family and friends alike but for those that remember or know their parents but the parent doesn't give the attention they should it can be heartbreaking to watch.
