Mental

Mental

A Poem by Hetra

Paranoia taking over

Try to fight it, staying sober

Strike a match to shed thee light

Only defense against the night

Hair on body stands on end

The creatures of dark are closing in

In your head they begin to shout

Words of anger, delusions, and doubt

Take some pills to calm your head

To quiet them down to make them dead

2 typos, "in your head they begin" and doubt. Good read and write. Once the "illness" is understood, we can begin to see it as a gift than a curse, so to speak:) People with "mental illness" were once considered mystics.
