Lost Soul

Lost Soul

A Poem by Hetra

An Angel’s wing, a Demon’s dream

Bursting with flames at the seems

Shot down, like a bird in flight

They only grow stronger if you fight

Darkness fills my waking eyes

Another soul lost, a doomed sunrise

Constant arguing inside my head

Not listening to words they said

You never see what is plain to see

Shadows dancing in front of me

Lurking in the corners, there

A demon’s soul is all they bare

Will this part of me, always win

Medications taken, nerves worn thin

I hate myself, breath in breath out

Struggles within, another bout
