She

She

A Poem by Tony Hwilka

Sitting in the middle

       of the pier

salt and pepper hair

brushed by the wind

legs crossed, knees bent

      almost Indian style

wearing green shorts

yellow, green and white blouse

enhancing her skin

      browned by sun

Mature smile on her red lips

eyes reflecting

     the cedar water

she speaks to me with love

    without saying a word

I aww-ed out loud. This is one of the sweetest things I've ever read. I can feel a genuine, soft yet ardent love in the way the girl is explained. Great piece :)

Very endearing write. I especially like how you delivered this poem. I almost felt as if I was spying on you as you sad and admire your true love from affar. Great imagery. This was a joy to read....Simply beautiful.

Bravo!
