Antichrist

Antichrist

A Poem by Muse
"

I will never confess my sins to an infallible mortal. It's between me and God. Not between man and man.

"
Just
words
OBSCURED.

A thistle of hurt, it
pricks like a kiss.
This dull knife finds my wrist.

Confess.
Confess they say......
or there will be hell to pay.
Fire away..fire away.

I can't
Because....
I won't.

Too many psalms
without a quote.
I see....
a coward's smile
that braves only the dark.

Confess.
Confess they say.
I am the lark.

Who do you bow down to?
Have you any clue?
666
This imperfection of ours
it's dark
I know it's dark.
But it becomes my....

          beauty
           mark.

Confess...
Confess they say.
So I take another drag in,
PUFF....
smoke in your face
taste my disgrace.

Confess...
Confess they say.
Show me a Pope,
a Priest,
with no sin to pay.
And I will...I will.
I will confess!

I posted this viral video...to show how many false Gods we worship even in our Government. They have no minds of their own...like the religious leaders of today....we take for granted everything that they do and say.....

Wow. I hadn't seen this one. How true! False religioun is everywhere. AND. Very few actually have Bible knowledge, or they assume they understand things.

Too many today think the Bibles valueless because it doesn't support today's popular ideas. They will be held accountable for leading so many astray.

Hello my dear Muse! Its only been about....how many years now? Two? Two and a half since I've been on? Oh dear God did I miss your writing (and by God I'm referencing the Christian God whose name I just took in vain.)

Unfortunately, the video that accompanies the poem doesn't seem to be available. I would have much liked to have watched it but I can see where you're getting at with this. Your poem, as always, initiates multiple trains of thought...on one hand, I imagine the false Gods that we have put our faith into via religion. We have different denominations who take bits and pieces of the bible and run with them. Some purposefully take the scriptures out of context for their own wicked purposes while others completely misunderstand the concept. Perception of the individual is another aspect we dont' take into consideration often times so when we hear 'truth' we hear it filtered through the ideals and ideologies of a particular group or a single individual. Sad part is that between the screaming of 'truth' we hear the deafening sound of people berating others for believing 'falsely'. We point fingers at others instead of pointing the finger at ourselves (as we rightfully should)

What people don't seem to 'get' when it comes to religion is that we are not held accountable for anyone's actions but our own. We are autonomous beings in control of what we say, how we say it, how we think, and how we behave. Some do not stay true to their convictions and are easily swayed one way or another. Sometimes we relent just because we want the person arguing with us to just shut up already, while other times we simply feel powerless to do anything about how they perceive.

Arguing with people about 'Gods' and power I have found to be much similar to that of discussing the weather to a fencepost. Hypocrisy is the ruling agent and the 'do as I say, not as I do' mentality is abundant.

Another train of thought this initiates is the thought that our values have gone down the shitter-we value fame, glory, money, we covet things we do not have, listen with deaf ears and are blinded by our own selfishness. We delude ourselves into thinking someone of power is influential, that a president should be adored because he looks hot in a suit or because he's an eloquent speaker. We thrive upon our own fears and give up our power because of those fears instead of delving into unknown territory and actually LEARNING something for ourselves.

I could go on with this and write an essay for a review. You write just as brilliantly as I remember m'lady and I look forward to delving into more of it. Bravo!

Huff and puff and blow the house of religion down. I am a believer in God, and God has no religion. Religion was created by men to control men, not to mention women. I love your smoke-in-the-eye, devil-may-care attitude. It saturates the words.

Behind the curtains and walls are people of faith, not religion. This poem reminds me of how I've felt in the past. I've always liked your writing, it's original and thougt provoking. This one raises the bar somewhat in its daring. Very good write!

So I see you do know a thing or two about Biblical theology. I agree that to claim the power to hear confession and forgive sin is an equivalent to the Antichrist. All humans are hypocrites. Each person has the ability to commune with God on their own terms. Nice point!
Now, the video... That was a sad way to look at things for the human race. God is not asleep and the Devil is the goat(not humanity). I guess the video shows a sleeping God or Jesus and he manages to have a few "fish" (mankind) jump into his boat. It shows humanity being the helpless puppet of "evil" and a sleeping God letting it happen. This is Satan's greatest lie. God is Love. Weather you take a Biblical philosophy or choose to re-invent a religion from logic, the best outcome parallels the Bible. Not man's religions that have twisted it into a tool to give them the puppet strings.
Very thought provoking.
Be well dear Muse
