I posted this viral video...to show how many false Gods we worship even in our Government. They have no minds of their own...like the religious leaders of today....we take for granted everything that they do and say.....
Interested in an analysis of all the occult symbolism? Check out this site..they do an excellent job of shedding light on the obscure truth.
well, i have strong feelings about organized religion (raised catholic) and the majority are not positive...
especially the whole confession thing...
i think this raises some good points about what we worship today in our society...
your writing is quite thoughtful...and it makes us stop and think...
i really enjoy visiting your page...
another level.

So that leads me to believe...so many of us are disgusted and tired of the facade....
Amen. Simply beautiful. True and raw. I don't believe in sin. And I certainly don't believe anyone belongs in my relationship with God. My mistakes are between me and the Universe.
. i confess :P ... i have read this intensely astonishing piece of powerful poetry thrice since you posted it ... there's a lot i want to thank you for ... am still looking for the right words ... my home was destroyed by a cult ... yes, we were weak ... yes, we had problems ... but this man claiming to be a hindu yoga guru and humanitarian entered my home slyly through one of his brainwashed volunteers and brainwashed my soul mate into becoming his devotee ... it's been more than three years since it happened ... and no, i haven't given up ... i was writing in a blog that dares to critique the hindu religious cult that operates in more than 150 countries all over the world ... the guru took the blog to court ... and sort of lost ... the matter was settled out of court (on 9th june this year) and the guru ended up paying $250,000 to the blog owner's attorney ... it was a shame ... because he had taken the blogger to court for defamation in san francisco ... although your piece is not about religious cults but priests ... in india, there's a thin line between these self-appointed priests and priests in other religions ... hinduism is not an organized religion with a clergy etc. ... but there's more ... this might even shock you ...
. so there i was ... writing on the blog ... but protesting against the denigration of religion ... i have no problem with religion ... i just have a problem with those who claim to be the intermediaries between god and humans ... i also have my own perception of god ... and the blog owner reacted violently ... he banned me from writing on the blog ... this happened as of a few days ago ... i was shocked ... stunned ... and i just couldn't figure out what happened ...
. i went back to my research ... i had read an article that talked about the ten stages of leaving a cult ... and the 9th one was becoming an atheist as a reactive response (and being unable to respect the religious preferences of other people) ... the tenth stage is either sticking with atheism if that's what is comfortable (while respecting religion and the religious preferences of people) or choosing a religion ... while being able to be detached enough to laugh at the cult experience ... that's the essence of stage 10 ...
. what i'm saying is that not only do these "priests" who project themselves as intermediaries between God and humans attempt to brainwash people ... they are so good at it ... and they then abuse the faith of followers so much ... that people actually end up hating religion ...
. it's like hating the concept of friendship just because one friend broke one's trust really, really badly ... so, these so called priests in every religion are actually abusing people ... for the joy of playing mind games ... and being judgmental and playing god ... and i know one truly evil one ... pretty closely ... i haven't met him ... but i have seen his videos and live web casts ... and i have seen those he has destroyed ... the effects of brainwashing in the name of religion are severe beyond severe ... i don't know if those bloggers will ever make it to stage 10 ... and ... he has destroyed several homes ... including my own ...
. so, my dear amazingly gifted friend and poetess, what you have dared to write about is possibly one of the most important pieces of poetry i have ever read ... as a trained historian, i can tell you that your writing and the act of sharing this writing is nothing short of revolutionary ...
. we don't have to submit to mortals ... we don't have to surrender our intellect to them ... there is nothing spiritual about being the slave of someone who is nothing but a mortal with as many human flaws as anyone else ... there will come a time when none of them will be able to act "holier than thou" ... thank you for this post ... as you can tell, i am overwhelmed and comforted ...

I think the first thing to address...is why did this happen to you and your loved one? Well...it's happening all over. We sheeples are being "conditioned" for the "great deception". You know what I speak of. If we nolonger trust the church....government...then we will be more open to "change"...reformation. A new world religion..government. It's happening in our schools too..the dumbing down...the numbing down. I'm so sorry that you went through that experience...on a positive note..you know the truth. We will someday see goodness prevail....in the mean time...hold on tight sister...because it will be a bumpy messy ride for any and all believers.....

I attended a catholic school when I was young. My most memorable events of the fourth grade were being slapped around by a nun. Today it would be considered child abuse, back then it was discipline.
After the World Trade Center attacks I (as I'm sure many others as well) started to question the existence of God. Examining history and mentally collecting examples of humans dying in such horrendous ways made me question all that was taught to me about the one who watches over us and protects us. I still battle with it.
How often do people go to church and write down words of the sermon as lessons? For faithful church-goers I'm sure they have many, many, notebooks filled with information to help them live a better life. But just how much can a person remember and carry out week after week, year after year?
I believe there is something that created all of this. However, as for religion, age has made me think differently about the church and what it preaches. People will still be hit by buses or cars after leaving mass. People will still die at the hands of a nut with a gun, and masses of innocents will still be slaughtered no matter what a priest assures them.

I love this and completely agree with every word. Religion is something personal... it isn't something that requires any sort of public display or involves more than one's self. I'm an ex addict... you should hear some of the things people say to me about what I'm doing wrong and how I need to atone for each sin. It's mindblowing. Thank you for sending this along. It's lovely.

I can't even count how many times I've been told I'm going to hell for not attending someone's church. I've just never felt the need... and that should be my own personal decision; I shouldn't be chastised for it. So, I understand the guilt trip some aspects of religion brings.
This is beautiful. Our quirks and imperfections, they define us, as you so clearly see. Answering to our own conscience, for those who have one, seems like the best we can get.

"He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
First off, great song to accompany your poem. I definitely believe in asking forgiveness from God with Jesus as his intermediary. No way will I ever ask a priest for forgiveness. He is a mere mortal. Part of the learning process of being an imperfect human is the guilt we live with when we hurt someone. A mafia member can kill and cheat on a Saturday night and then come in and do confessional...now that's a joke. "Well then, just say ten 'hail Mary' and be forgiven." Thought provoking and very original in it's layout:)

Religion is just that, 'RELIGION'. I hate it when people say to me, "Dean, you MUST go to church..." Why?, I say. I believe in God. I pray. I treat people as I want them to treat me. So, why must I go sit in a building full of hypocrites to prove my faith? Oh, I used to, two days a week. You know what I got out of it? I realized after awhile, after seeing some of those same people, people who were married, drinking, swearing, hitting on the young chickies down at the local convenience store, that RELGION was not for me. But God?Yeah, I'll take Him over RELIGION any day of the week! Kudos to you!

WOW. I love your thoughts! ~ Thank you for this poem Muse! You are truely called a muse for a reason~ hehee. I believe in the same thing. I was brought up a Catholic but i never understood the religion. Heaven and hell made no sense to me.. and to worship a God that I never connected with. Right now, I don't actually follow a specific religion but I am spiritual. I believe in many things, especially regarding nature. But it is one's true self who will guide you to your own belief. =) I actually practice the Craft. It frees me more than anything ~
Thank you for your wise poem Muse. Thank you. I love this so!
