Witch's Brew

Witch's Brew

A Poem by Muse

Here's a recipe

a dash of pedigree

  lizards and gizzards

mice and lice

blood from the unwed

a spell for the dead

an eye for an eye

some maggots and flies

your child's first tooth

some virginal youth

widow's warm tongue

"her" coal miner's lung

tears of suffering

a boil made pussering

  Julius Caesar

a tsp of fever

serving my hot brew

topped with fresh parsley & sinew.

Chants while stirring in reverse....

~ hahahaha......!!!! ~ mirror mirror on the wall... who writes the best wicked witch poetry of all... Muse of course... to shake up your cores... Julius must be spinning in his grave... in reverse... on his head... :P ~ damn...!! ~ you're one helluva courageous cookie, dudette... :)

oh this is terrific...the reverse image effect...like an hour glass...with words on both ends reflecting...

cool lyrics too...made me start humming the Cream song..."strange brew, see what's inside of you"

sometimes it feels that all this is inside me.

My goodness, Muse, your Muse (?) must have had to stand on his head to write this one! A very entertaining Halloween write.

In math terms, this transformation is called a 180-degree rotation.

Nice work, that's for sure.

oooooohhhh this was good. Love the reverse stuff.
i love the perfectly pitched diabolical rhymes, the flawless rhythm. I was singing along with her.
The only thing that struck me as incongruent was the scare quotes around "her" in her coal-miner's lungs.

This was so much fun to read. The ingredients just got more and more revolting...that's what I loved about it!
