Lovely

Lovely

A Poem by The Cobra Lounge
"

I was inspired to write this because my daughters are so lovely!

"
Lovely little hands that match my own
a toothless grin, my baby has grown.
Childhood visions, and fanciful dreams
life for you now, so simple it seems.
You will stumble and you might fall
be proud and straight, never crawl.
Filled with promise, confidence high
my wish for you is to fly baby fly.
Rapunzel, Angel, my perfect SnowWhite
vanity is waste, so do what is right.

Perfectly tuned to the mindful 'mom's' heart desire for her little shadow; giving demonstrations of genetic wonders, a mix of this one and that one, a child is truly love's rainbow...though we might call them curtain climbers for short. ;)

To me your poem is near-perfect in form and substance, though the final phrase brings a trove of uncertainty...life's true test of character.

Excellent...

Not all vanity, surely.

This is simply beautiful and I loved every word. The first sentence is perfect, while the rest of the poem follows in suit.

Condensed motherly wisdom offered on a plate
of delicate poignant words. Nicely done…

What a gentle, touching write that simply sings with joy and love. Your dedication only adds to the depth of your words.. Beautiful and vivid.

What a extravagant poem. The love between mother and daughter is hard to narrow down to such few words, but you did an amazing job of portraying it. Amazing read!

Aw....wonderful and touching poem. This reminds me of the song "Find Your Wings" by Mark Harris.
