Eager for December

Eager for December

A Poem by Vertigoingnowhere
"

somethin i write off the bat like in 5 minutes

"
December is tomorrow i know we all cant wait. For the fun in store like on the ice we skate. The season of joy, happiness and cheer. Santa and snow, trees and reindeer. I know im in no hurry for the winter to end. As Pocahontas once said "its just around the river bend

Loved this poem. The first day of December is my birthday. And of course the Holiday season of December is the best holiday of the year. But to me winter lasts way too long. I hate driving on icy roads, when no matter how careful I drive someone else might slide into me anyway. But it's all a wonder to look at from inside a cozy warm house by the fire. Thinking of moving to a warmer clime though. I came to Washington from sunny southern California. Loved the distinct seasons that we don't have in California. There we have sun, more sun... rain, more rain, and flowers grow year 'round. Oh, and then there's the hot Santa Ana winds in the fall. And of course everyone knows about the earthquakes. Anyway, I never knew I missed distinct seasons because I'd never experienced them until coming to Washington. Now I think I might try Southern Oregon. Not sure yet.
